We’re excited that you’re considering joining us at the North Georgia School of Gospel Music! Whether you’re attending for the first time or returning for another summer, we want to make your experience as enjoyable and rewarding as possible.

Below you’ll find important information about admissions, registration, classes, student supervision, and what to expect throughout your week at NGSGM.

NGSGM welcomes students of all ages, backgrounds, and musical abilities. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced musician, we have a place for you!

Students ages 6 and under must be accompanied by an adult chaperone. All students will be assigned a Campus Chaperone to help coordinate attendance and ensure their safety throughout the week.

NGSGM, Inc. admits students of any age, race, color, religion, sex, national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally available to students at the school.

NGSGM provides all necessary school supplies, including a notebook, singing books, backpack, and other instructional materials.

We recommend bringing the following personal items:

Church attire is required for our Friday evening Closing Celebration Singing, including dresses of appropriate length for ladies.

The safety and well-being of our students are important to us. To ensure every student is accounted for throughout the day, NGSGM has established the following supervision and attendance guidelines.

Every student, regardless of age, will be assigned a Campus Chaperone (CC). This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for attendance, scheduling changes, and other matters concerning your student.

If your student will be arriving late, leaving early, or following a different schedule, please notify their Campus Chaperone in advance.

In the event of a fire drill or other emergency, students will report to a designated gathering area established by the Director and Administrator. Each student will be instructed to locate their assigned Campus Chaperone so that everyone can be accounted for.

Students ages 6 and under must be accompanied by an adult chaperone. Students in first grade and below may have a family chaperone accompany them on campus, with a limit of one family chaperone per family.

A chaperone does not have to be a parent but must be at least 18 years old and approved by the student’s parent or legal guardian. Written parental authorization is required.

Adult chaperones must be available to assist their students in moving between classes and activities unless alternative arrangements have been approved by the School Administrator.

Students participating in breakfast should arrive at the designated drop-off time, typically between 7:15 and 7:45 a.m. Students who choose not to eat breakfast must arrive in time for roll call.

At the end of each day, students must be picked up at the designated dismissal location.

If a parent or approved driver listed on the registration form attends Group Singing, the student may be dismissed directly to that person. Please communicate these arrangements with your student’s Campus Chaperone.

Unless otherwise indicated on the registration form or through a written daily note, students under 18 are expected to remain on campus for the entire scheduled school day.

Students will not be permitted to leave campus with anyone who is not listed on their registration form unless written permission has been provided by a parent or legal guardian and the arrangement has been approved through the School Administrator.
