Nicole has been continuously involved in Southern Gospel music since before her days as a student at the North Georgia School of Music in Cleveland, Georgia. She attended her first music school as a young child, when Hyman Brown came and taught music school at her church, and has loved singing and playing music for the Lord ever since. Nicole holds an Associate’s Degree in music from Perimeter College of Georgia and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the University of Georgia. She has been a classroom instructor at NGSGM since 2007, and has taught at several summer music schools, as well as church singing schools, in that time. Nicole also shares her love of music as pianist at her church, and works with the youth choir, as well. She has recently begun writing gospel music again, and is thankful for the many songwriters who have taught and inspired her through the years, while attending music schools and singings.

Nicole lives in Rutledge, GA with her husband Tommy and their two sons, Luke and Leo. Their daughters, Lindsey and Leslie, live nearby with their husbands, Blake and Caleb, and their four beautiful grandchildren Alex, Hendley, Della, and Clara Wells. Nicole is looking forward to the day when her grandchildren can join the family in continuing as a third generation attending NGSGM. The NGSGM Board welcomed Nicole’s husband, Tommy, as a board member in 2022, and he was proud to attend for the first time as a student in 2024, making it a true family affair.
